Eligibility & Pre-Treatment Information
Plasma Skin Tightening is a highly advanced skin rejuvenation treatment. To ensure your safety and achieve optimal results, all clients must carefully review the eligibility and pre-treatment information below before booking.
If you are unsure about your suitability, please submit a Booking Request Form with all relevant details for assessment prior to confirming your appointment.
Age Requirement
You must be 18 years or older to receive Plasma Skin Tightening.
Pregnancy & Breastfeeding
Plasma Skin Tightening cannot be performed during pregnancy.
Breastfeeding clients are advised to wait until breastfeeding has finished.
If you wish to proceed while breastfeeding, this is at your own discretion and medical clearance is required.
Medical Conditions
Please advise if you:
Have any autoimmune conditions
Have diabetes, epilepsy or cardiovascular conditions
Have a pacemaker or electronic implants
Have a history of poor wound healing or keloid scarring
Are immune compromised
Have had cancer treatment within the last 12 months
Some medical conditions may require written clearance from your medical practitioner.
Skin Conditions & Suitability
You may not be suitable for treatment if you have:
Active skin infections or inflammation
Open wounds or unhealed scars in the treatment area
Eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis or severe acne in the area
Herpes simplex outbreak in or near the treatment area
Recent sunburn, windburn or chemical burns
The skin must be healthy, intact and calm prior to treatment.
Medications & Supplements
Please disclose if you are currently:
Using Roaccutane / Isotretinoin (must be ceased for at least 6–12 months)
Taking blood-thinning medications
Taking anti-inflammatory medication regularly
Using photo sensitising medications
Please do not stop prescribed medication without consulting your medical practitioner.
Previous Treatments
Please advise if you have had:
Recent cosmetic tattooing in the area
Dermal fillers or muscle relaxants (Botox / Dysport)
Laser treatments, RF, Microneedling or chemical peels in the area
A minimum waiting period may apply depending on the treatment.
Skin Tone & Healing Expectations
Plasma Skin Tightening carries a higher risk of pigmentation changes for deeper skin tones (Fitzpatrick IV–VI).
Individual healing times vary and full results may take 8–12 weeks to develop.
Multiple sessions may be required depending on the area treated.
Pre-Treatment Requirements
To prepare for your treatment, please:
Avoid sun exposure and tanning for 4 weeks prior
Discontinue active skincare (retinol, acids, exfoliants) for 7–14 days prior
Avoid alcohol and blood-thinning supplements for 24–48 hours prior
Arrive with clean skin and no makeup on the treatment area
Failure to follow pre-treatment instructions may result in your appointment being rescheduled.
Lifestyle & Downtime Considerations
Please plan accordingly:
Visible carbon crusting and swelling are expected during healing
Makeup cannot be worn on the treated area until fully healed
Swimming, saunas, steam rooms and heavy exercise must be avoided
Strict sun protection is essential during healing
Test Patch
A test patch may be required or recommended, especially for:
First-time clients
Sensitive or reactive skin
Deeper skin tones
This must be performed prior to your full treatment.
