SMP Scalp Micro Pigmentation
Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) is an advanced, non-surgical cosmetic treatment designed to create the appearance of fuller hair by replicating natural hair follicles within the scalp. Using specialised pigments and precision techniques, SMP Scalp Micro Pigmentation restores the look of density and definition for both men and women experiencing hair loss.
The focus is always on natural, realistic results that blend seamlessly with your existing hair and skin tone.
Who benefits from SMP Scalp Micro Pigmentation?
SMP is suitable for a wide range of hair and scalp concerns, including:
Male & female hair loss
Thinning hair and loss of density
Alopecia (various types)
Receding hairlines
Bald areas
Follicle reconstruction
Scar camouflage
Each treatment is fully customised to suit your hair pattern, skin type, and desired outcome.
How SMP Works
During the treatment, tiny pigment impressions are carefully placed into the upper layers of the scalp to replicate the look of natural hair follicles. Unlike traditional tattooing, SMP Scalp Micro Pigmentation is designed to fade gradually and softly over time, maintaining a realistic appearance as the scalp and hair change.
The result is the illusion of fuller hair, improved density, or a clean, natural-looking shaved style.
Natural Results, and personalised treatment for YOU
Every SMP Scalp Micro Pigmentation treatment begins with a thorough consultation and tailored design process. Careful attention is given to pigment selection, placement, and density to ensure results look natural from every angle and in all lighting conditions.
Whether the goal is subtle density for thinning hair or full follicle reconstruction, the outcome is refined, balanced, and confidence-boosting.

Treatment Information & Aftercare
Who Should Avoid SMP?
Clients with scalp sensitivities, such as psoriasis or eczema, should avoid SMP Scalp Micro Pigmentation during a breakout or flare-up, as it can be difficult to apply pigment to inflamed areas and may affect results.
How Painful Is SMP?
Before the procedure, clients can apply a topical numbing agent to reduce discomfort. Some sensations may still be felt during the treatment, which can vary depending on individual pain tolerance.
Aftercare Instructions
Proper aftercare is crucial to ensure long-lasting, natural results:
Sun Protection: Keep out of direct sunlight for 28 days after treatment. After that, use SPF 30–50 sunscreen regularly.
Avoid Water & Heat: Do not swim, or use saunas or steam rooms for 28 days following your final treatment.
Exercise: Avoid heavy exercise for five days after your final session.
Moisturising: Begin regularly moisturising the treated area after the fourth day following your final treatment. This is also important between treatments.
1. Avoid touching or scratching the scalp
During the first week, do not touch, pick, or scratch the treated area, even if it feels itchy. This prevents infection and pigment loss.
2. Avoid washing the scalp too soon
No washing or shampooing for the first 3–4 days after the treatment. After this, gently wash with mild, fragrance-free shampoo.
3. Avoid harsh hair products
Avoid hair sprays, gels, or any products containing alcohol or chemicals for at least 2 weeks, as these can affect pigment retention.
4. Avoid shaving with a razor immediately after treatment
You can use a clipper, but avoid a razor on treated areas until fully healed to prevent irritation.
5. Avoid sleeping on the treated area
For the first 2–3 nights, try to avoid putting direct pressure on the treated scalp while sleeping.
6. Avoid tanning or tanning beds
Direct UV exposure can fade the pigment quickly, so avoid tanning beds during the healing period.
7. Avoid exfoliating or chemical treatments
No chemical peels, microdermabrasion, or exfoliating treatments on the scalp for at least 4–6 weeks.
8. Stay hydrated and maintain healthy skin
Well-hydrated skin heals better and retains pigment longer.
9. Touch-ups
Most clients benefit from a touch-up session 6–10 weeks after the initial treatment to perfect density and blending.
Following these guidelines will help your SMP Scalp Micro Pigmentation heal properly, maintain pigment retention, and ensure a natural, flawless finish.
